WOMEN’S GOLF FINISHES 15th AT BRONCO FALL INVITATIONAL

KUNA, Idaho --- The Sacramento State women''s golf team finished in 15th place at the Bronco Fall Invitational, Tuesday afternoon at the Falcon Crest Golf Club.

Southern Methodist ran away with the team title, finishing 21 strokes ahead of Colorado and Colorado State who tied for second. SMU shot rounds of 291, 296 and 295 to finish the three-round tournament with a total of 882.

The Hornets fired rounds of 329, 320 and 320 for a total of 969. The team was led by Sarah Kuykendall for the second-straight tournament. Kuykendall tied for 55th place with a total of 240. She was the lone Sacramento State golfer to shoot two rounds in the 70s with scores of 78-83-79-240.

Jennifer Parkes tied for 60th at 83-81-77-241. Margaux Sheehan was one stroke back at 86-76-80-242 to tie for 65th. Kim Coppin tied for 91st at 82-90-84-256 and Heather LeMaster tied for 93rd at 89-80-88-257 to complete the Hornet lineup.

Jennifer Ackerson of SMU was the medalist with an impressive total of 70-70-69-209.
