Portland State overcame a 10-stroke deficit to win the team title after shooting 296 on Wednesday. The Vikings three-day total of 886 was 10 strokes better than second-place Eastern Washington (896). Weber State (920), Montana (931), Northern Arizona (932), Montana State (936), Sacramento State (947) and Idaho State (951) completed the eight-team field.

Sacramento State, which was playing with only four golfers during the final two rounds, shot its highest score of the tournament on Wednesday. Senior Courtney Cotter was the lone Hornet to break 80 as she shot 79 to end in a tie for 11th place. Cotter shot 75 in the first round and followed with 73 on Tuesday.

Jennifer Parkes shot 76-80-80-236 to finish 20th. Kathryn Cotter (88-77-81-246) tied for 31st while Sarah Kuykendall (78-83-86-247) tied for 34th. Margaux Sheehan shot 79 on Monday before withdrawing due to illness.

Northern Arizona''s Lauren Gray was the medalist after shooting 72 on Wednesday. Gray shot 74-70-72-216 to win the event by two strokes, Arielle Cherry of Idaho State led all players with 70 on Wednesday to place second.

The event was the final competition for the Sacramento State women during the 2003-04 season.
