WOMEN'S GOLF FINISHES THIRD

GRANADA HILLS, Calif. --- Tracy Nichols tied for 12th place with a two-round total of 162 to help lead the Sacramento State women's golf team to a third-place finish at the Matador Spring Classic. The tournament was held at the par-72, 5,963 yard Knollwood Country Clun on Monday and Tuesday.

Host Cal State Northridge captured the team title with a total of 614. Cal Poly was second at 615 while the Hornets posted a total of 666.

Individually, Kelley Calrson of Northridge defeated teammate Evelyne Lussier and Ann Marie Costello of Cal Poly in a playoff to take the medalist honor. All thee golfers posted rounds of 75 and 77 for a total of 152.

Sacramento State will next compete at the Big Sky Conference championships from Apr. 22-24. The three-round event will be held in St. George, Utah.
