JULIE SHUTLER NAMED BIG SKY CONFERENCE GOLFER OF THE WEEK

OGDEN, Utah — Sacramento State's Julie Shutler was named the Big Sky Conference Golfer of the Week, it was announced today.

Shutler finished fifth at the Fresno State Lexus Classic after shooting 75-70-78-223. Her second round score was tied for second best of her career while her 54-hole total was the third best of her career.

The Manteca, Calif., native also finished among the top five for the second consecutive tournament. Shutler finished fifth at the Fresno State event after placing fourth at the Folino Invitational in February.

Shutler had the low score on the team in the first two rounds and was one stroke off the team best in the final round. Her performance helped the Hornets finish sixth in the team standings and record the best score by a Big Sky team in the tournament.

Sacramento State will next compete at the Anteater Invitational hosted by UC Irvine beginning on March 26.
