JULIA BECKER EARNS BIG SKY GOLFER OF THE WEEK AWARD

OGDEN, Utah — The Sacramento State women's golf team collected its second Big Sky Women's Golfer of the Week award in the last two weeks as Julie Becker was this week's recipient. The honor is the first for Becker this season and the third of her career.

The senior finished second at the Juli Inkster Meadow Club Collegiate after shooting 71-69-72-212 to finish at 4-under par. Her 54-hole total was one stroke off her career best which is also tied for the school record. The Las Vegas, Nev., native finished ahead of five players ranked among the 100 in the Golfstat rankings, including fifth-ranked Hira Naveed of Pepperdine who totaled 217.

Becker now has nine top five finishes during her career. She also has 12 rounds of 70 or better and accounts for four of the top 11 54-hole totals in program history.

Sacramento State returns to action on Monday at the Lamkin Invitational hosted by San Diego State. The tournament will be the lone match play event for the Hornets this season.
