BABIC NAMED BIG SKY GOLFER OF THE WEEK FOR THE SECOND TIME THIS FALL

OGDEN, Utah — Sacramento State junior Sofie Babic was named the Big Sky Conference Women's Golfer of the Week after her play at the Rainbow Wahine Invitational in Hawaii. The honor is the second for Babic this season and the third of her career.

After the first two rounds were rained out, Babic shot a 2-under par round of 70 to tie for second place. She was 1-over through her first nine holes before playing her final nine at 3-under. During that stretch she had birdies on the par-4 10th and 11th and par-5 17th. Babic has now finished among the top five eight times during her career.

The tournament was the final event for Sacramento State during the fall portion of its season. The team will return to action on Feb. 25-26 at The Gold Rush hosted by Long Beach State in Seal Beach, Calif.
