  • WOMEN'S GOLF SIGNS MIKI MANTA TO NATIONAL LETTER OF INTENT

    Sacramento State head women’s golf coach David Sutherland announced today that Miki Manta has signed a National Letter of Intent with the program. Manta will enroll at Sacramento State as a freshman in the fall of 2018.
  • WOMEN'S GOLF PLACES THIRD AT RAINBOW WAHINE INVITATIONAL; BABIC SHOOTS 70 IN FINAL ROUND

    The Sacramento State women’s golf team shot 1-over par in the final round of the Rainbow Wahine Invitational on Wednesday to finish in third place. The Hornets totaled 300-286-289-875 to record the fourth best 54-hole score in school history.
  • NISHTHA MADAN SETS SCHOOL RECORD WITH 67 AT RAINBOW WAHINE INVITATIONAL

    Sophomore Nistha Madan set the Sacramento State record by shooting 5-under par 67 in the second round of the Rainbow Wahine Invitational on Tuesday. Madan’s performance followed a 77 in the morning and tied her for second place after the first day.
  • WOMEN'S GOLF WINS TEAM TITLE AT NM STATE AGGIE INVITATIONAL

    The Sacramento State women’s golf team completed its wire-to-wire run through the NM State Aggie Invitational, winning the team title by 20 strokes on Wednesday at the NM State Golf Course. The victory was the first for the team this season and its fourth in the last two years.

    Sofie Babic shot 72 and Corinne Viden added a round of 73 to help the Sacramento State women’s golf team maintain its team lead during the second round of the NM State Aggie Invitational on Tuesday at the NM State Golf Course.
  • MADAN, WOMEN'S GOLF IN FIRST PLACE AFTER OPENING ROUND OF AGGIE INVITATIONAL

    Astha Madan birdied five of her final six holes to finish the opening round of the NM State Aggie Invitational at 2-under par and help the Sacramento State women’s golf team take the team lead. Madan shot 70 and has a one-stroke lead in the field. Her efforts guided the Hornets to a 1-under par total of 287 which is seven strokes ahead of second place UTEP.
  • WOMEN'S GOLF CLOSES GOLFWEEK CONFERENCE CHALLENGE WITH ITS BEST ROUND

    The Sacramento State women’s golf closed out the Golfweek Conference Challenge with its best team score of the tournament. The Hornets shot 291 during the final round to finish the day at 3-over par. The team was led by a 71 from Sofie Babic and also counted a pair of 73s from Astha Madan and Corinne Viden.

    For the second consecutive day, Julia Becker posted the lowest score for the Sacramento State women’s golf team at the Golfweek Conference Challenge. Becker followed her opening round score of 72 with a 3-over par round of 75.

    Junior Julia Becker shot an ever par round of 72 to lead the Sacramento State women’s golf team in the opening round of the Golfweek Conference Challenge on Monday at Red Sky Golf Club. The tournament features one school from 18 different Div. I conferences and will continue with single rounds on Tuesday and Wednesday.
  • PATEL, BABIC NAMED BIG SKY GOLFERS OF THE WEEK

    Sacramento State’s Ash Patel and Sofie Babic were named the Big Sky Conference Men’s and Women’s Golfers of the Week, it was announced today. The honor was the first for Patel while Babic claimed her second award.

    Playing through rain, wind, temperatures in the low 50s and even a brief bout of hail, the Sacramento State women’s golf team finished in second place at the WSU Cougar Cup on Tuesday at Palouse Ridge GC.
  • WOMEN'S GOLF STORMS THROUGH WET FIRST ROUNDS OF COUGAR CUP

    The Sacramento State women’s golf team opened its 2017-18 season by having all five players rank among the top 20 during the opening two rounds of the WSU Cougar Cup on Monday at Palouse Ridge Golf Course. The opening round was played in rain in temperatures in the mid-50s. The rain dissipated in the second round while the course remained soggy.
