    The Sacramento State women's golf team added its second recruit for the 2015-16 season with the signing of Julia Peters to National Letter of Intent. Peters will enroll as a sophomore in the fall after competing at Butte College this fall.

    Junior Rockelle Sande tied the Sacramento State school record after posting a 4-under par round of 68 during the third round of the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic on Tuesday. Sande's score matched Sarah Kuykendall who shot 68 during the final round of the 2005 Big Sky Championships.

    Sacramento State senior Sagee Palavivatana led the Hornet women’s golf team in both rounds of the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic on Monday at the Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club. Palavivatana shot 77-74-151 and is tied for 19th place heading into the final round on Tuesday.

    Three Sacramento State golfers shot 75 during the final round to carry the Hornets to the team title at the Sacramento State Invitational on Tuesday at Sierra View Country Club. The Hornets entered the day with a 14-stroke lead and were able to extend it to 19 to capture the team title.

Hall shot 75-70-145 and holds a four-stroke lead over teammate Sagee Palavivatana and Montana’s Barbora Bakova.

    Rockelle Sande matched her highest career finish by tying for fourth place at the Wyoming Cowgirl Desert Intercollegiate on Sunday at The Classic Club. Sande shot 79 during the final round and finished at 10-over par for the three-round tournament. Her total of 225 equaled her career best which previously came at the 2014 Big Sky Championships last April.

    Sacramento State true freshman Astha Madan is currently competing for India in the World Amateur Team Championships in Karuizawa, Japan. The tournament features the top three amateur players from 50 countries and consists of four rounds with each country counting its top two scores.
