OGDEN, Utah —Three Sacramento State golfers earned all-Big Sky Conference honors, it was announced today. Senior Lisa Persson was voted to the first team. Chloe Bartek to the second team and Tiffany Nichols earned honorable mention. This year marked the first season that the all-league teams were decided by a vote of the league's coaches.
Persson led the Hornets with a stroke average of 75.64 in 22 rounds. The senior from Jonkoping, Sweden, finished third at the conference championship. Persson finished the season with three top five finishes and helped Sacramento State to a victory at the Rainbow Wahine .
Bartek, a true freshman from Vancouver, Wash., ranked second on the team with an average of 77.58. Bartek competed in 19 rounds during her first season and placed ninth at the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic for her highest finish.
Nichols completed her senior season with an average of 78.32 in 25 rounds. She was in the lineup for every tournament this season and had her best finish at the Red Rocks Invitational where she tied for ninth.
Portland State junior A Ram Choi was named the Big Sky Golfer of the Year. Choi was the medalist at the Big Sky Championship and averaged 73.55 strokes per round.
