OGDEN, Utah — The Sacramento State women's golf team was picked to finish second in the Big Sky Conference preseason poll, it was announced today.
The poll, which was conducted by a vote of the league's 11 head coaches, has Portland State picked to win the league with 100 total points. The Hornets were close behind with 91 and were followed by Southern Utah (70), Northern Arizona (62) and Montana (60) in the top five.
Sacramento State ended the fall portion of its schedule on a high note as it won the Raibow Wahine Classic in Wahiawa, Hawaii. The team begins its spring schedule on Feb. 10 at the Matador Invitational in Simi Valley, Calif.
The Big Sky Championships will take place April 21-23 at the Ocotillo Golf Resort in Chandler, Ariz.
