CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. — Sacramento State's Lexie Hall and Lisa Persson were both named Women's Collegiate Golf All-American Scholars, it was announced by the Women's Golf Coaches Association. The pair were among 644 women's collegiate golfers from Div. I, II and III who had a minimum 3.50 grade point average.
Competing in her first season at Sacramento State, Persson recorded a scoring average of 77.35 in 26 rounds which ranks as the fourth best in Hornet single-season history. The junior was the medalist at the Firestone Grill College Invitational in Nipomo, Calif., in October and tied for sixth at the Santa Clara Colby Invitational two weeks later. During the year, she had 10 rounds of 75 or better.
Hall completed her second collegiate season with an average of 79.95 in 20 rounds. In 46 career rounds, Hall is averaging 78.80 which places her eighth in the school record book.
Along with the national honor, the pair were joined on the Big Sky Conference all-academic team by freshman Natalie Bodnar.
