As a junior (2006): Competed with the varsity eight in every race, including 11 appearances in the three seat and twice in the two seat...named second team all-West Region and first team all-WIRA...became the 10th Sacramento State rower to receive all-region honors since the program gained intercollegiate status in 1995...one of 22 student-athletes on the West Coast to earn all-West Region honors...in the three seat, she helped lead the team to its first WIRA championship since 2001...entering her fourth season with the program, LaCrosse has yet to compete with a boat that has finished anything worse than second at the WIRA Championships...stroked the novice eight to a silver in 2004 and sat at six with the silver medal winning JV8 in 2005.
As a sophomore (2005): Competed in 10 races with the varsity eight, three with the second varsity eight and two with the varsity four...rowed primarily in the five seat with the varsity eight...sat in the six seat with the second varsity eight...named second team all-WIRA after helping the JV8 to a silver medal at the WIRA Championships.
As a freshman (2004): Competed with the novice eight in the six, seven and stroke seats (primarily at stroke)...rowed with both the novice eight and second varsity eight (six seat) against Santa Clara...stroked the novice eight to a silver medal at the WIRA Championships...also stroked the Hornet novice four which placed fourth at the PCRC’s.
High School: A 2002 graduate of Sacramento’s Rio Americano High School...competed in 2000-01 for Capital Crew...sat in the four seat for the first-place boats at both the Novice Regatta and the Southwest Junior Rowing Championships.
Personal: Born Nov. 6, 1983...parents are Ken and Lynette LaCrosse...a government major and a sociology minor with a 3.37 gpa...this past March, posted the fastest 2,000-meter erg time in school history (6:59.2)...that surpassed the previous mark of 6:59.7, set by Megan Warren in 2002...LaCrosse is one of just two Sacramento State rowers to post a sub 7:00 erg time. |
