As a sophomore (2009): Competed with three different boats during the spring, primarily with the varsity four...sat at bow with the varsity four in four races, and at bow in one race with the third varsity four.

As a freshman (2008): Was the coxswain for the novice eight in every spring race...also coxed the novice four...that included the team’s silver-medal winning Collegiate Novice Four entry at the Pacific Coast Rowing Championships.

High School: A 2007 graduate of Sierra High School in Manteca, Calif...ran four years of track and field, and one season of cross country...recipient of the Scholar Athlete Award during her junior year.

Personal: Born Nov. 5, 1989...parents are Samuel Engayo and Ada Ortiz...a kinesiology major.
