As a junior (2010): A first team all-WIRA selection after competing in the seven seat with the varsity eight in every spring race…sat one seat behind her sister, Holly, who rowed at stroke…during her two-year career, she never missed a race with the varsity eight…sat at seven with the varsity eight which won the WIRA championship, the program’s first gold medal at the event since 2006…also sat at seven with the Hornets’ top boat that won the Varsity Heavyweight Eight championship at the Dad Vail Regatta, the program’s second gold at the event in school history…recipient of the National Scholar-Athlete Award, given to rowers with a 3.5 or higher cumulative grade point average.
As a sophomore (2009): Competed in the varsity eight in every race during the spring...sat in the five seat during the team’s first competition before racing in the seven seat in every race the rest of the way...rowed one seat behind sister, Holly, who competed at stroke...sat in the seven seat with the varsity eight which won silver at the WIRA Championships, the team’s highest finish in the race since 2006.
Prior to Sacramento State: Attended American River College in Sacramento from 2006-08.
High School: A 2004 graduate of the Davis School for Independent Study.
Personal: Born March 25, 1986...parents are Jill and Anthony Hopkins...a kinesiology major.
