As a junior (2008): Competed with the novice eight in every spring race...sat in five different seats, including stroke, seven, five, four and bow...sat at five the last three races of the season...also stroked the novice four in one race.

Prior to Sacramento State: Attended Arizona State from 2005-07...did not compete in any sports.

High School: A 2005 graduate of California High School in San Ramon, Calif...competed in two years of soccer and cross country for the Grizzlies.

Personal: Born Nov. 30, 1986...parents are Peter and Linda Slagle...a business major.
