As a junior (2008): One of three Hornets to receive the National Scholar-Athlete Award, given to rowers with a 3.5 or higher cumulative grade point average...after missing the first two races with injury, she spent the remainder of the season with the varsity eight in both the three and five seats...sat at five with the V8 that won silver at the Dad Vail Regatta...also sat at three when the team’s top boat placed fourth at the San Diego Crew Classic’s Cal Cup...won a gold medal with the varsity four (three seat) at the WIRA Championships.

As a sophomore (2007): Sat in the five seat with the second varsity eight in every race until wrapping up the year in the varsity eight (three seat) at the Pac-10 Championships.

Prior to Sacramento State: Rowed for Gonzaga during the 2004-05 season...spent the 2005-06 season playing basketball for Mendocino College.

High School: A 2004 graduate of Lower Lake High School in California...competed four years of basketball, track and field, and cross country for the Trojans...a four-time all-league selection in cross country (first team three times) and first team all-league selection in basketball as a senior...set the school record in the 800 meters with a time of 2:29.04...in track, she was the Lake County champion in the 4x400, 800, 1600 and 3200 meters...named the Lower Lake High School Female Student-Athlete of the Year in 2004.

Personal: Born July 28, 1986...parents are Don and Karen McMullen...a psychology major...competed for the Clearlake Scullers (Lakeport, Calif.).
