As a junior (2008): After missing the first two competitions of the spring season, Morrison sat at stroke with the second varsity eight in every race the remainder of the season...was a second team all-WIRA selection after stroking the JV8 to a bronze medal at the WIRA Championships...also sat at stroke with the team’s open four entry which took silver at the Pacific Coast Rowing Championships.
As a sophomore (2007): Stroked the second varsity eight in all but one spring regatta...sat in the six seat with the second varsity eight at the Pac-10 Championships...stroked the JV8 to a silver medal at the Southern Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championships.
As a freshman (2006): Stroked the novice eight in every spring race, including the team’s bronze medal winning performance at the WIRA Championships...also stroked the novice four...named the team’s Most Valuable Novice Rower.
High School: A 2005 graduate of Aragon High School in San Mateo, Calif...competed one year for the school’s soccer team.
Personal: Born Aug. 28, 1987...parents are Dave and Rebecca Morrison...a journalism major (minor in photography)...a member of the Div. I national student-athlete advisory committee, becoming just the second athlete in school history to represent Sacramento State on the national committee...each Div. I conference has just one representative, and Morrison is chair of the Big Sky Conference student-athlete advisory committee...also co-chair of the Sacramento State student-athlete advisory committee...played club soccer for seven years (1995-02) for AYSO in San Mateo...brother, Christopher, was the coxswain for the University of Washington in 2001-02.
