As a sophomore (2007): Sat at bow with the varsity eight in every race despite having just one year of rowing experience prior to the season...also sat at bow with the varsity four on two occasions.

As a freshman (2006): Sat in the seven seat with the novice eight in all but one spring race...that included the boat’s bronze medal winning performance at the WIRA Championships.

High School: A 2005 graduate of Piner High School in Santa Rosa, Calif.

Personal: Born May 17, 1987...parents are Curtis and Ruth Martin...a psychology major with a 3.14 gpa...has a 2,000-meter ergometer time of 7:29.3...won a gold and silver medal with the Chicago Rowing Center at the USRowing Club National Championships as a member of the intermediate lightweight four (gold medal - three seat) and the senior lightweight four (silver medal - three seat).
