As a sophomore (2007): Competed with the second varsity eight (five seat), second varsity eight B (five seat), open eight (five seat), varsity four (three seat), varsity four B (three seat), varsity four C (three seat) and pair (bow)...sat at bow with the pair that won bronze at the WIRA Championships...also sat at five with the open eight that won bronze at the Pacific Coast Rowing Championships.

As a freshman (2006): Began the season with the second novice eight, spending time in the three, five and seven seats...moved up to the novice eight at the WIRA Championships, and helped the team to a bronze medal in the three seat...finished the season with the novice eight, also competing in the five seat.

High School: A 2004 graduate of Lompoc High School...played four years of soccer (1999-04) and one season of volleyball (2003)...was a first team all-conference selection in soccer during her senior season...recipient of a scholar letter in both 2003 and 2004.

Personal: Born March 11, 1986...parents are Steve and Charlene Payne...a biology major and a peace and conflict resolution minor with a 3.21 gpa...has a 2,000-meter ergometer time of 7:33.9.
