As a freshman (2007): One of two first-year rowers (Chelsea Semrau) to compete with the varsity eight in every race...sat primarily in the four seat...also appeared in the two seat with the team’s top boat.

High School: A 2006 graduate of the Davis School for Independent Study in Davis, Calif...competed one year of rowing (port side) for the River City Rowing Club...competed with the novice eight for River City in 2005-06.

Personal: Born June 28, 1988...parents are Jill and Anthony Hopkins...a kinesiology major at Sacramento State with a 3.62 gpa...has a 2,000-meter ergometer time of 7:24.2.
