HEAD ROWING COACH BILL ZACK APPOINTED TO THE WEST REGIONAL ADVISORY COMMITTEE

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Sacramento State rowing head coach Bill Zack was

appointed to serve on the West Regional advisory committee for the 2001

NCAA Women's Rowing Championship, it was announced by NCAA Women's Rowing

Committee today.

Zack, who has served on the NCAA West Regional Board of Directors the past

two years and is currently in his second year as vice president of the

Collegiate Rowing Coaches' Association, was one of four individuals on the

west coast selected to the committee. His job duties will include, but are

not limited to, the seedings of collegiate crews in the West Region.

Zack, who enters his fifth season at the helm of Sacramento State rowing,

has led the Hornet varsity eight to a 26-4 duals record in his four years

and was most recently named Western Intercollegiate Rowing Association

(WIRA) Coach of the Year last season.

Sacramento State will be in action this Sunday, Oct. 22, as it participates

in the Head of the Charles in Boston, Mass.
