The Hornets'' varsity eight beat Humboldt State and Saint Mary''s handily with a time of 6:56.3 over the 2,000-meter course. Humboldt State finished with a time of 7:33.5, followed by Saint Mary''s (8:03.4).

Sacramento State''s varsity eight lineup consisted of Robyn Soliman at bow, Stephanie Brow at the two seat, Erika Bracy at three, Veronica Karpinski at four, Adelle Reimer at five, Megan Warren at six, Megan Spitze at seven, Mieke Boynton at stroke and Breanne Hart at coxswain.

In the second varsity eight competition, the Hornets finished with a winning time of 7:44.4, followed by Humboldt State (8:18.8). Sacramento State''s second varsity eight lineup consisted of Chanel Patterson at bow, Angela Tombolini at two, Sheena Tahilramani at three, Pattie Shagam at four, Jamie Weatherfield at five, Karen Donaldson at six, Rebecca Hurtt at seven, Sarah McKenzie at stoke and Jenna DuBois at coxswain.

In the varsity four, Sacramento State''s first place time was 8:19.9, followed by Humboldt State "A" (8:23.5), Saint Mary''s (8:28.2), Humboldt State "B" (8:30.6) and Mills College (9:08.9). In the novice eight competition, Sacramento State raced to a time of 7:40.6, followed by Humboldt State (8:24.1), Southern Oregon (8:53.2) and Mills College (9:07.8).

The Hornets return to the water next week as they host Santa Clara on Saturday, March 9, at the CSUS Aquatic Center.
