WOMEN’S BASKETBALL SIGNS FOUR TO NATIONAL LETTERS OF INTENT

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Sacramento State women's basketball head coach Bunky Harkleroad announced four new additions to the program in the early signing period.

"I'm really excited about this class as a whole," Harkleroad said. "I think we have a nice mix of talent and athleticism. They all fit what we do, and offensively and defensively they are athletic enough to move around and jump and trap and do what we want to do. We've improved our skill level and our athleticism with all four of them."

The group brings a significant amount of size to the Hornets, as all four signees are at least 5-10 with two standing above six feet tall. Dana Degraffenreid (Bakersfield, Calif./Ridgeview HS) and Skylar Jackson (Las Vegas, Nev./Bishop Gorman HS) both come to the Hornets as 5-10 shooting guards. Tiana Johnson (Kalispell, Mont./Flathead HS) is 6-2 and can play both guard and forward and 6-3 post Anna Weibel (Estes Park, Colo./Estes Park HS) will bring significant size and strength to the Hornets.

"We've always been smaller and that's fine for the way we play, but adding size helps," Harkleroad said. "Skylar and Dana are a little bigger than most guards we've had here. Tiana is definitely a long guard and Anna is a nice size post that can run. All four of them can guard and have good length and athleticism and I think its definitely four great additions for us."
