Parrish Named Big Sky Player of the Week

Parrish, a junior from Clovis, Calif., was just two points shy of tying the Big Sky Conference single-game record in Sacramento State's 80-71 overtime victory at Oregon State on Saturday. Parrish hit a crucial three-pointer with 18 seconds left in regulation, and proceeded to connect on her next two three-point attempts in overtime as the Hornets outscored the Beavers 12-3 in extra time.
Overall, Parrish tied the school and Big Sky record with nine three-pointers made against the Beavers. In the win on Wednesday against San Francisco, Parrish recorded three steals, three assists, five rebounds and had 11 points.
In two games over the week, Parrish averaged 25 points per game, while shooting 54.8 percent from the floor (17-of-31), including 50 percent (10-of-20) from three-point range and went 6-of-7 at the free-throw line. She now ranks eighth in the Big Sky at 13.2 points per game, while her 36.1 three-point field-goal percentage ranks fourth.
Parrish and the Hornets hit the road again this week with games at Southern Illinois-Edwardsville and Eastern Illinois before opening Big Sky play at Montana State and Montana next weekend. has been named Big Sky Conference Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday morning.
