SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- The Sacramento State women’s basketball program added former Hornet soccer star Lori Kerswell to its roster, it was announced by head coach Carolyn Jenkins Friday.Kerswell, who just completed her fourth season with the Sacramento State soccer team, will wear jersey number two and could see playing time tonight against San Jose State. While with the soccer team, the Citrus Heights, Calif., native was a two-time all-Big Sky Conference selection who ended her career second in program history in assists (12), fourth in total points (36) and fifth in goals (12).
Kerswell, who will be listed as a 5-6 senior guard, has been practicing with the basketball team for each of the last two weeks. She last played competitively at Sacramento’s El Camino High School.
Sacramento State (0-5) plays its second home game of the season tonight as it hosts San Jose State at 7 p.m.
