The Hornets’ first post player off the bench in her freshman season...played primarily at power forward...showcased a wide array of post moves while averaging 5.8 points and 2.4 rebounds in 11.5 minutes while playing in all 29 games...made one start, versus Eastern Washington (1/13)...second on the squad with a .481 field goal percentage...third on the team with 12 blocks...posted a season-high 14 points against Montana State (2/12) and season-high eight rebounds at Oregon (11/28)...tallied 10+ points five times in a nine-game stretch (11/27-1/6)...went 19-of-32 at the free throw line and attempted just one 3-point basket.
HIGH SCHOOL
Graduated from Highlands Ranch HS in Highlands Ranch, Colo., in 2010 where she was a second team all-Continental Conference selection as a senior...The No. 85 ranked small forward in the nation according to ESPN HoopGurlz, Smith led her team to the finals of the Mike Desper Division of the Nike Tournament of Champions in December 2009...In the title game against Oregon City HS, Smith led all scorers with 20 points...She scored a season-high 21 points against Ponderosa HS on Jan. 22, and eventually led her team to their third straight league title while being named the Falcons’ most improved player.
