AS A SOPHOMORE 2006-07
Started 17 of 21 games last season before injuring her foot, which caused her to miss the final eight contests...ranked fourth on the team in scoring at 7.4 ppg, while securing a team-high 5.1 rebounds per contest...had her strongest contest of the season against No. 19 UCLA on Nov. 25, scoring a career-high 23 points and grabbing eight rebounds...posted her first career double-double against Nevada on Dec. 9, scoring 10 points while adding a career-high 12 rebounds...went a perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line on her way to a 19 point effort, leading the Hornets to a 63-55 victory against Portland.
AS A FRESHMAN 2005-06
Was the Hornets top newcomer during the year, coming off the bench in 22 games...provided the team depth and scoring in the post, averaging 3.4 points and 2.0 rebounds per game...on five occasions, she scored at least five points in a game...during the last game of the season at Eastern Washigton, recorded a season-high 11 points on 3-of-5 shooting from the floor and 5-of-7 shooting from the free-throw line...knocked down her first three-pointer against Southern Utah on Nov. 26...grabbed a career-high six rebounds at New Mexico State on Dec. 28...in 12 minutes on the floor, scored six points and sank one three-pointer, while grabbing two rebounds in the Hornets’ 61-59 victory over Northern Arizona on Feb. 25.
HIGH SCHOOL
A 2005 graduate of El Camino High School, she played two years of varsity basketball for head coach Bill Baxter...her sophomore season, she was named team MVP of the JV team and finished the 2002-03 season as the all-time single season leader in three categories, with 83 free-throws made, 141 defensive rebounds and 296 total rebounds...she sat out her junior year with an ACL injury...was also named team MVP as a senior after averaging 17.0 points and 9.0 rebounds per game for a total of 500 points and 263 rebounds...named first team all-Capital Athletic League and all-Metro third team...was also named to four all-tournament teams her final year...one of her best performances was a 33-point, 15-rebound effort against Sheldon HS...also scored 31 points vs. Saint Mary’s in the 2002 state championship playoff game...after her senior season earned several awards; named to the 2005 Optimist All-Star game and led the North team with 20 points...in April of 2004, she received the Youth Inspire Award from Sacramento County after coaching youth teams at the Sierra Community Center...also in 2004, she was named a National Society High School Scholar for academic excellence...she was one of 100 players named to the all-state team...graduated with a 3.8 gpa and was a member of the National Honor Society...in 2005, received the United States Marine Corps Distinguished Athlete Award...also earned the 2002 Spanish Excellence award...as a freshman, Boyer played varsity basketball for Mira Loma High School and was named all-Capital Valley Conference...she also played two years of volleyball for the Eagles and was voted most improved in 2001 and 2002...played in the summer of 2004 for AAU Cal Sparks-Sacramento.
