KUHNS NAMED ALL-BIG SKY HONORABLE MENTION

Kuhns was named Big Sky Conference honorable mention after a standout sophomore season.

OGDEN, Utah -
Sacramento State women's basketball sophomore Kylie Kuhns was named an honorable mention to the All-Big Sky Conference Teams, the league announced on Monday.

Kuhns, the league leader in rebounds at 11.1 per game, tied the conference record and set a new school record with 23 rebounds in a game against San Francisco this season.

She led the NCAA in rebounds for three weeks this season during non-conference play and ended the year ranked No. 12 in the nation in rebounds per game.

At the end of the regular season, the native of Salem, Ore. was No. 3 in the Big Sky Conference in scoring (15.9 ppg), No. 1 in rebounds (11.1 rpg), No. 8 in assists (3.0 apg), No. 2 in field goal percentage (49.7 percent), No. 3 in blocked shots (36 total) and No. 6 in steals (55 total).

She paced the Big Sky Conference with 13 double-doubles - ranking No. 28 in the nation.

Kuhns' sophomore campaign was also one of the greatest in school history, as she made multiple marks in the school record books.

For a single season, her rebounding average ranks third all-time and her total rebounds (321) is second in school history. She placed ninth with 462 total points, tied for ninth with 175 made field goals, tied for ninth with 175 made field goals and ranked eighth with 36 blocks.

She also moved into fifth all-time with 164 free throw attempts and ninth all-time with 111 made free throws.
