SACRAMENTO, Calif. -
Sacramento State women's basketball standout Emily Christensen has been named to the Big Sky Conference all-Tournament team, the league announced on Saturday.

Christensen, a senior from El Dorado Hills, Calif., averaged a team-high 13.5 points in two tournament games while shooting 45.5 percent from the field and 33.3 percent from three-point range.

Christensen scored 15 points to go with two assists and two rebounds in the No. 6 seed Hornets' quarterfinals upset of No. 3 seed Eastern Washington. She then had a team-high 12 points to go with three rebounds in a semifinals loss to Idaho State.

Idaho State won the Big Sky Tournament title over Northern Colorado on Saturday and ISU's Chelsea Pickering was named tournament MVP. Northern Colorado's Victoria Timm and D'shara Strange plus Idaho State's Lindsey Reed and Ashleigh Vella joined Christensen on the all-tournament team.

The lone senior on the roster, Christensen ended her career as just the seventh player in school history to reach 1,000 career points and 500 career rebounds.

After injuring her knee in the first game of last season, Christensen received a medical hardship and returned this season. She showed tremendous toughness by starting all 31 games this season while averaging 12.2 points, 5.1 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game.
