For the 2012-13 season, Willard's primary responsibilities include coordinating recruiting efforts, assisting with perimeter player development and scheduling team travel. She will also assist in game and practice film breakdown and serve as the director of the Hornets' elite and youth camps.
Willard spent two seasons (2006-08) as a letterwinner for the Sacramento State women’s basketball team before seeing her playing career end prematurely due to a hip injury. She appeared in 19 contests in 2007-08, making one start at the forward position, and led the team in field goal percentage (50%) despite being unable to practice for the majority of the season.
During the 2006-07 season, she started 15 of the final 17 games of the season after sitting out the first 13 games of the season due to NCAA transfer regulations, averaging 6.2 points per game. Willard had four double-figure scoring games and two nine-rebound performances. She posted a career-high 15 points against Portland State, shooting a career best 6-of-10 from the field.
She is a product of El Camino HS in Sacramento, where she is the school’s second all-time leading scorer. Willard was a two-time first team all-Capital Athletic League choice for the Eagles. She played for current assistant coach Bill Baxter while at El Camino.
Willard graduated from Sacramento State in 2009 with a degree in business administration.
