2008 Cross Country: Competed in five of the eight meets…finished first at the Hornet Jamboree by running the 4-mile course in 19:53…ranks fifth in school history after running 25:14 at the Big Sky Championships.

2008 Season: Qualified for the Big Sky Championships in the steeplechase…ran 9:16.14 for his fastest time…also ran the 1500 and 3K during the year…did not compete indoors.

2007 Cross Country: Competed in all six meets...had the top finish on the team in the final two meets of the season (Big Sky Championships, NCAA West Regional)...his time of 32:02 at the NCAA West Regional is the second best time in school history at that meet...top 8K mark was 25:05 at the Hornet Jamboree where he placed eighth.

Prior to Sacramento State: Spent one season at Concord University in Athens, W.V…ran track and cross country for the Mountain Lions…earned West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference honors in the 1,500, steeplechase and 5K…was named the Rookie of the Year…top times were 4:00 in the 1,500, 9:52 in the steeplechase, and 15:44 in the 5K.

High School: Graduated from Marietta HS in 2006…was a high school teammate of current Hornet Daniel Carlson…ran two years of track and four years of cross country for the Tigers…named all-district in the 1,600…helped lead the team to the 2006 Ohio Athletic League title.

Personal: Born Oct. 4, 1987…has yet to declare a major…parents are Gregory and Maryanne Grose…his sister, Jenny, competes in gymnastics for Kent State.
