CARBULLIDO LEADS TRIO AT POLE VAULT SUMMIT

RENO, Nev. — Three members of the Sacramento State track & field team started the indoor season by competing at the Pole Vault Summit on Saturday at the Reno Livestock Events Center. The Hornets were led by senior Haley Ann Carbullido who cleared 11-11.75 to place eighth in the collegiate competition.

Carbullido competed in the top flight of college women and where she tied for the fourth best height in the field. Tessa Davis and Alana Dickson each competed in the second flight. Davis set her PR by clearing 11-07.75. That height tied the sophomore for 10th place overall. Davis' previous best was 11-05.75 last year at the Snake River Open. Newcomer Alana Dickson completed the trip with a vault of 10-06.00 to tie for 19th place.

Sacramento State will have its first team meet of the season on Saturday, Jan. 20, at the Bronco Invitational hosted by Boise State.
