    Seven Sacramento State track & field athletes were named to the United State Track & Field/Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic teams. The group of Hornets consisted of Chloe Berlioux, Stephanie Blumm, Kassandra Corrigan and Candice Dominguez from the women’s team. The men’s team was represented by James Kinloch, Steven Pust and Michael Turner.

    Sacramento State will once again serve as host to one of the world's top track and field meets as the 2017 USA Track and Field Outdoor Championships will return to Hornet Stadium. The meet will take place from June 22-25.

  • KINLOCH RECORDS SECOND LONGEST DISCUS THROW IN SCHOOL HISTORY

    The 2016 Sacramento State track & field season came to a close but not before James Kinloch set a personal best and the second best throw in the discus in school history. Kinloch had a toss of 179-10 which bettered his previous long by 4-feet, 6-inches. That mark is longest by a Sacramento State athlete since Dave McKenzie threw 181-01 in 1971.

    Sacramento State's Chloe Berlioux was named the Big Sky Women's Track Athlete of the Week, it was announced today. The honor is the first for Berlioux during the outdoor season. She also earned the award during the cross country season.

    The Sacramento State women finished first and the men were second at the Mondo Team Challenge on Saturday at Hornet Stadium. The Hornet women scored 159 points and were followed by UNLV (151), UC Davis (109) and Portland State (96). The Aggie men finished first with 121 points while Sacramento State score 104 and Portland State tallied 44.

    Just three weeks into the regular season, the Sacramento State women's track and field team appears in midseason form as the Hornets finished second and set five school top 10 marks on Saturday at the UC Riverside Spring Classic. The men tied for third place in the team standings with both squads placing behind Cornell which won the team titles.
