SOFTBALL’S GAME VS. CAL POLY CANCELED

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. -- Sacramento State’s fourth-round game of the Mustang Softball Classic against tournament host Cal Poly has been canceled due to rain that has swept the San Luis Obispo area. The game will not be made up.
Cal Poly had a 2-0 lead in the top of the third inning before the game was stopped. No stats during the game will be counted because of the cancellation. Sacramento State wraps up the three-day tournament tomorrow afternoon at 1 p.m. against Cal. Originally, the Hornets were supposed to play UAB tomorrow morning at 9 a.m., but the schedule has changed due to the rains.
Sacramento State currently has a 3-0 record at the tournament with victories over UAB, Santa Clara and Cal.
