SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- For the third time in six days, the Sacramento State softball team will not play a scheduled doubleheader because of rain. This time, the Hornets were scheduled to play on the road today (Wednesday, Feb. 16) against Pacific at 1 p.m. The doubleheader has yet to be rescheduled at this time.Last weekend, Sacramento State was supposed to play five games at the Kajikawa Classic (Feb. 11-13), but could only get one game in because of rain that swept through the Phoenix area. The Hornets had games against top-ranked Arizona, fourth-ranked UCLA, Arizona State and Tennessee-Chattanooga cancelled because of inclement weather.
Sacramento State (5-3) has the next seven days off before hosting Nevada for a doubleheader on Wednesday, Feb. 23, at 1 p.m.
