PHOENIX -- Due to rain that is currently sweeping the Phoenix area, Sacramento State’s first and second-round games against Tennessee-Chattanooga and top-ranked Arizona, respectively, have been cancelled.The games were supposed to be the Hornets’ first two of a five-game, three-day tournament (Kajikawa Classic) in Phoenix. Sacramento State was scheduled to play Tennessee-Chattanooga at noon and Arizona at 5 p.m. No games that are cancelled during the tournament will be made up at a later date.
Sacramento State (5-2) is also scheduled to play third-ranked UCLA (11:15 a.m.) and Arizona State (1:30 p.m.) on Saturday, Feb. 12, and Buffalo (8 a.m.) on Sunday, Feb. 13. With a 5-2 record, the Hornets are off to their best start since the 1995 season.
