High School
A 2012 graduate of James Logan High School in Union City, Calif…played four years for the varsity squad as the starting second baseman…during her four seasons, the Colts combined for a 95-14-1 overall record and a 46-2 league mark…that included perfect 12-0 conference records during each of her final three seasons…in addition, the team won North Coast Section Div. I titles in 2011 and 2012…named first team all-Mission Valley Athletic League during her final two seasons, and second team all-league as a sophomore…hit at least .367 all four years, including a league-leading .494 as a junior…for her career, she batted .405 with 31 doubles, eight triples, three home runs and 80 RBIs…that included a .552 on-base percentage and .765 slugging percentage as a junior…finished her career with a .957 fielding percentage, as she committed just 12 errors in 266 total chances in the infield…committed just one error in 87 chances in 2011.

Parents are Allen and Maria Martinez…a speech pathology and audiology major…played this past summer for Hayward’s East Bay Impact…played for the San Jose Lady Sharks from 2008-11.
