A second team all-PCSC Coastal Division selection after playing in 42 games, including 41 starts in center field…hit .348 with 26 runs scored, four doubles, three triples and 17 RBIs…was a perfect 10-for-10 in stolen base opportunities, and the 10 bags are tied for the seventh best mark in Sacramento State’s Div. I single-season history…had a career-high five RBIs against Northern Colorado, tied for the most by a Hornet during the season…served as a team co-captain…finished the year on an eight-game hitting streak, and batted .419 with seven runs and six RBIs over that stretch…also had a career-high 10-game hitting streak earlier in the year, and wrapped up the season by hitting safely in 23 of the team’s final 26 games…over that 26-game stretch, she improved her batting average 93 percentage points from .255 to .348…batted .371 against PCSC opposition, the second best mark on the Hornets…hit .318 with runners in scoring position…in 11 chances with a runner at third base and less than two outs, she drove in the run seven times, good for a team-high .727 success rate…had four outfield assists and committed just two errors in 71 total chances (.972 fielding percentage).
Appeared in 36 games, including 33 starts in center field…hit .259 (22-85) with two triples, six walks, three RBIs, three sacrifices and two stolen bases…against conference competition, she hit .318 (14-44) with 10 runs scored and a .375 on-base percentage in 18 games…hit safely in nine of the final 11 games of the season, and during that span, hit .448 (13-29) with eight runs scored…the Hornets were 17-16 in games she started in center field…established single-game career highs in both hits (3) and runs scored (3) against CSU Bakersfield on May 8...named to the PCSC’s Commissioner’s Honor Roll.
An honorable mention all-PCSC Coastal Division selection…one of three Hornets to start all 54 games, making every start in center field…hit .279 (41-147) with 24 runs, 10 RBIs, 12 walks and two stolen bases…hit .300 (21-70) with runners on base, .368 (7-19) with runners in scoring position and two outs, and .400 (18-45) with two outs in an inning…hit safely in 15 of the final 20 games of the year…hit .333 (20-60) against PCSC competition with nine runs and five RBIs…fifth on the team with 10 multi-hit games…hit either second or ninth in the lineup…had a walk-off RBI-single in a 4-3 home win against Nevada on March 10.
A 2009 graduate of Norco High School in southern California…played four years of varsity softball at both shortstop and in the outfield…as a team co-captain her senior year, she was named first team all-league, second team all-section and second team all-area after batting .354 with a .443 on-base percentage, and committing just four errors all season at shortstop…that 2009 squad won the CIF Southern Section Div. I championship and the Big Eight Conference title with a 32-2 overall record and a 13-1 league mark…Frye hit .556 during the section playoffs…during her career, she helped Norcol to a pair of league championships (2007, 2009), two Southern Section Div. I semifinal appearances (2007-08) and the section championship in 2009…recipient of the 2007 Principals Award and member of the honor roll her senior year.
