2011 Season
A first team all-conference selection while also being named the PCSC’s Coastal Division Freshman of the Year…started all but one game…that included 42 starts at second base and one at designated player…hit a team-best .328 with a team-high tying 12 multiple-hit games…went 42-for-128 with seven doubles and 14 RBIs… committed just five errors all season (.967 fielding percentage)…one of the team’s best clutch hitters, she led all Hornet regulars in average with runners in scoring position (.388), average with two outs (.341) and average with runners on base (.328)…improved her numbers against conference teams, posting a .411 batting average which was the fourth best mark in the Coastal Division…over her final 16 games of the season, Caldwell hit .458 with five doubles, seven RBIs and seven multiple-hit games during that span.
High School
A 2010 graduate of Napa High School in California…played four years of varsity softball as the team’s starting second baseman…helped the Indians to a pair of Monticello Empire League championships (2007-08), a 94-31 overall record and 42-8 league mark during her four seasons…a three-time all-county selection (2008-10) and two-time team player of the year…named first team all-Monticello Empire League as a senior after batting .359 with a .424 slugging percentage, a .404 on-base percentage, 19 RBIs and only three strikeouts in 101 plate appearances…did not commit an error at second base during the entire league season…as a junior, she batted .391 with a team-best 10 doubles while committing three errors all season (.966 fielding percentage)…an honors student every year of high school.
Personal
Born Sept. 23, 1992…parents are Bryce and Lisa Caldwell…a nursing major…played for both the USA Elite, and Sorcerer Gold ASA teams…the Sorcerer team saw nearly its entire roster move on to play at Div. I institutions.
