2011 Season
Appeared in 34 games, including 33 starts…started games at all three outfield positions, including 20 starts in right field, seven in center and six in left…hit .256 (21-82) with two doubles, a triple, two home runs and five RBIs…led the Hornets with 10 sacrifices, a mark which tied for the second best mark in the PCSC…two of those sacrifices were successful squeeze bunts that scored a runner from third base…hit both her home runs in the same game against Santa Clara on April 30…had a career-best four-game hitting streak from March 17-27.

2010 Season
Appeared in 36 games, including 27 starts in left field…hit .205 (15-73) with 11 runs, two doubles and five RBIs…committed just one error all season in the field (.971 fielding percentage)…hit .286 with runners on base and two outs…against PCSC competition, she batted .250 (8-32) with five runs, two doubles and two RBIs…that included a game against Santa Clara where she went 3-for-3 with two runs and two RBIs…also had two hits and scored a pair of runs against Utah State and UC Riverside.

2009 Season
Took a medical redshirt.

High School
A 2008 graduate of Bear River High School in Grass Valley, Calif…played four years of softball and two seasons of volleyball…in softball, she was a three-time all-Pioneer Valley League selection – first team and league MVP in 2008, first team in 2007 and honorable mention in 2006…as a senior, she was first team all state, Pioneer Valley League MVP and first team all-Metro after going 27-3 with a 0.62 ERA in the circle, while also batting .416 with three home runs and 27 RBIs…also in 2008, she led the team to its second straight Sac-Joaquin Section Div. IV and Pioneer Valley League championships, including a 30-3 record, the best in school history…as a junior in 2007, she hit .425 with 14 stolen bases and 19 RBIs, and posted a 0.47 ERA as a pitcher…a four-year scholar-athlete at Bear River, she was named the school’s Female Student-Athlete of the Year in 2008.
 
Personal
Born June 3, 1990…parents are Dave and Teresa Shepard…a child development major…played nine years of ASA softball…that includes playing for the San Jose Sting with Sacramento State teammates Alyssa Nakken and Marissa Navarro.
