2011 Season
A first team all-PCSC Coastal Division selection for the second time (2009)…received all-conference accolades each of her final three seasons, including second team in 2010…despite battling a wrist injury all year, Schaefer finished the season with a 7-6 record, a 2.16 ERA, 19 appearances, 18 starts, four complete games and one shutout…issued just 28 walks in 90.2 innings…against conference competition, Schaefer was dominant, posting a 3-0 record with a 1.02 ERA in seven appearances…in 41.0 innings vs. PCSC teams, she allowed just six earned runs and four extra base hits (two doubles and two home runs)…the ERA and opponents batting average (.248) against conference competition were both the second best marks in the PCSC’s Coastal Division…of her 19 appearances, she allowed more than three earned runs on just two occasions…throw out those two rough outings (against Fresno State and Stanford), and she would have finished the year with a 1.42 ERA…pitched the first four innings of what turned out to be a combined no-hitter against Saint Mary’s on April 16…recipient of PCSC Player of the Week honors on April 25…among Sacramento State Div. I career leaders (1990-pres.), she finished her career ranked fifth in games started (76), tied for fifth in wins (37), sixth in innings pitched (461.0), eighth in strikeouts (236) and ninth in complete games (36)…finished career with a 37-25 record and a 2.48 ERA…had a sub-3.00 ERA all four years of her career...named to the PCSC’s Commissioner’s Honor Roll for the second straight year.

2010 Season
A second team all-PCSC Coastal Division selection after going 10-7 with a 2.78 ERA…had 22 appearances, 15 starts, 10 complete games and one shutout…missed at least eight starts while nursing a concussion suffered against UC Davis on Feb. 16…in 108.1 innings pitched, she allowed 108 hits and 25 walks while striking out 53 batters…opponents hit .257…each of her final five appearances of the season came in relief, and she picked up wins in three of those outings…won four of her final five decisions…recipient of PCSC Player of the Week honors on March 17 and April 13…against conference competition, Schaefer was 7-4 with a 1.77 ERA and a .225 opponents’ batting average…offensively, Schaefer also fared well against PCSC competition, batting .368 (7-19) with three runs, two doubles, one home run and four RBIs…named to the Pacific Coast Softball Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll, given to student-athletes who recorded a 3.0 gpa or better during the academic year.

2009 Season
A first team all-Pacific Coast Softball Conference selection after completing her sophomore season with a 15-7 record, a 2.20 ERA, 25 starts, 18 complete games, four shutouts and allowing opponents just a .251 batting average…in 175.1 innings, she allowed just 35 walks and struck out 105 batters (3-to-1 strikeout-to-walk ratio)…led the Hornets’ pitching staff in virtually every statistical category…her 15 victories tied her for the 10th best single-season mark in Sacramento State Div. I history (1990-pres.)…did all of that while pitching the last half of the season with an injury to her wrist…against conference competition, she improved her numbers to 9-4 with a 1.89 ERA, including 55 strikeouts in 89.0 innings…her nine wins in conference play led the PCSC and the 1.89 ERA was the second best mark…received PCSC Pitcher of the Week honors four times during the season (Feb. 16, Mar. 10, Mar. 31, Apr. 28)…her 15 victories accounted for over half of the Hornets’ final total of 28 wins…in fact, Schaefer accounted for 11 of the team’s final 17 wins of the season to help the Hornets overcome an 11-17 start and finish the year 28-23…tossed a six-hit shutout over Pacific (Feb. 12), a four-hit shutout against San Jose State (Feb. 28), a four-hit shutout of San Diego (Apr. 5) and a four-hit shutout of Saint Mary’s (Apr. 11)…had at least four strikeouts in 14 of her appearances…offensively, she batted .204 (19-93) with six runs, two doubles, eight walks and a team-high tying nine sacrifices.

2008 Season
In her first intercollegiate season, she went 5-5 with a 2.99 ERA, including 23 appearances, 18 starts, four complete games and one shutout…threw 86.2 innings, the third-most on the team…served as the Hornets’ No. 2 starter the majority of the season…had a streak of 15.1 consecutive scoreless innings (March 1-11)…allowed three runs or less in all but two appearances…those only two appearances came in her first start of the season on Feb. 12, and last start of the year on May 17…had a streak of 21 consecutive outings allowing three runs or less…had victories against Providence, Princeton, Wisconsin, Santa Clara and San Diego…offensively, she had 14 at-bats during the regular season, including one hit and two RBIs against Pacific.

High School
A 2007 graduate of Southridge High School in Beaverton, Ore…competed in softball, basketball, and track and field for the Skyhawks…including three years of softball…in softball, she was a three-time all-conference selection and two-time all-state choice (2005-06)…led the Skyhawks to the state title in 2005 after posting a 23-3 record…in the 2005 state championship game victory over Roseburg High School, she tossed a three-hit shutout while going 3-for-4 offensively…as a junior, the right-hander posted a 0.85 ERA…offensively, she had a .378 on-base percentage and was named Southridge’s Player of the Year…as a senior with the track and field team, she reached the state championships in both the shot put and discus.

Personal
Born Sept. 26, 1988…parents are Dick and Bonnie Schaefer…a criminal justice major who is on pace to graduate in the fall of 2011…played eight years of club softball for the Oregon Reign.
