2010 Season
Appeared in 46 games, including 42 starts (36 starts at second base, six at designated player)...batted .204 (23-113) with 12 runs, three doubles, three home runs, eight RBIs, six sacrifices and four stolen bases...hit safely in each of the last four, and six of the last eight games of the season...against PCSC competition, she hit .262 (11-44) with four runs, two home runs and four RBIs...those two home runs came in back-to-back games at Loyola Marymount during the final series of the season...that included a solo home run in the top of the seventh to deliver a 4-3 win over the Lions in the first game of the series.

High School

A 2009 graduate of St. Mary’s High School in Phoenix, Ariz...played four years on the varsity squad as both the team’s catcher and utility player...a four time all-state selection (first team in 2009, second team in 2006-08) as well as a four-time first team all-region choice...part of the 2007 St. Mary’s squad that won the Arizona 5A Div. I state championship...during the state tournament, she knocked in the game-winning run in the quarterfinals, semifinals and championship game...as a junior in 2008, Smith batted .407 with 38 runs and 30 RBIs in 36 games while leading the team to a 27-10 overall record...the team then posted a 26-6 record during her senior year...recipient of the school’s scholar-athlete award on two occasions.

Personal
Born July 26, 1991...parents are Robert Smith and Kristina Whitten...a business major...played two years for the Desert Thunder Gold (Tucson, Ariz.) where 14 of her teammates signed to play at Div. I institutions...the 2009 squad finished ninth at Gold Nationals.
