Prior to Sacramento State
Spent her freshman season (2009) at Sonoma State where she started games at shortstop, second base and left field (primarily shortstop)...helped the Seawolves to a 36-25 overall record as well as an appearance in the NCAA Regionals...played in 57 games (50 starts), and finished second in the California Collegiate Athletic Association with 30 stolen bases...hit .253 overall, including .327 with runners in scoring position and led the team with nine sacrifices.

High School
A 2008 graduate of Franklin High School in Elk Grove, Calif...played four years of softball, two seasons of volleyball and one year of basketball...in softball, she was a four-time first team all-Delta Valley League selection, including the league MVP and Franklin’s Athlete of the Year in 2008...a three-time all-Metro selection, she was a four-year starter for the varsity squad and helped lead Franklin to a Sac-Joaquin Section championship in 2006 and consecutive Delta Valley League titles in 2006 and 2007...carried a 4.0 grade point average all four years of high school, and was named to the Principal’s Honor Roll every term.

Born Oct. 9, 1990...parents are Gabriel and Sally Abelia...a business major...played ASA softball for the California Flames of Elk Grove...two of her teammates included current Hornets Alyssa Nakken and Kelly Shepard.
