2009 Season
Started 49 games, including 47 starts at shortstop and twice at designated player...named first team all-Pacific Region, becoming the third freshman in Sacramento State's Div. I history (1990-pres.) to receive all-region honors, and first to be named to the first team...a unanimous choice as the Pacific Coast Softball Conference’s Freshman of the Year, becoming the first Hornet to receive the honor since Sacramento State joined the league in 2003...also a first team all-PCSC selection after completing arguably the greatest freshman offensive season in school history...finished with a .413 batting average, 23 runs, 62 hits, 14 doubles, seven home runs, 36 RBIs, a .660 slugging percentage and a .470 on-base percentage...became just the third player in Sacramento State Div. I history to hit at least .400...her .413 average was 32 points better than any other player in the PCSC and tied for the 35th best mark in the nation...led the Hornets in at-bats (150), hits, total bases (99), multiple-hit games (20) and slugging percentage while striking out just once every 13.6 at-bats...hit safely in 36 games, and had seven different hitting streaks of at least four games long...Beltran’s seven home runs and .413 batting average were the highest numbers ever posted by a Sacramento State freshman...delivered victories with walkoff hits against both Colorado State and Santa Clara.
High School
A 2008 graduate of Agoura High School in California...played four years of varsity softball, and two years of varsity soccer...in softball, she was a three-time all-Marmonte League selection, including first team during her junior and senior seasons...as a junior, she batted .381 with a .506 on-base percentage and a .714 slugging percentage while finishing among the top five league leaders in five different categories...that included first in the league in doubles and walks...as a senior, she batted .366 with a .494 on-base percentage...led or was tied for the team lead in RBIs during both her junior and senior seasons...member of the Chargers’ league-championship winning soccer team in 2006.
Personal
Born Nov. 24, 1990...parents are David and Sylvia Beltran...a liberal studies major who would like to teach deaf, and hard of hearing students...played for three ASA teams from 2002-08, including the San Diego Breakers (2007-08), So Cal Panthers (2007) and So Cal 3D (2002-06)...at the 2007 ASA Nationals, Beltran clubbed three home runs, including a walkoff homer during the tournament.
