2009 Season
A first team all-Pacific Coast Softball Conference selection after completing her sophomore season with a 15-7 record, a 2.20 ERA, 25 starts, 18 complete games, four shutouts and allowed opponents just a .251 batting average...in 175.1 innings, she allowed just 35 walks and struck out 105 batters (3-to-1 strikeout-to-walk ratio)...led the Hornets’ pitching staff in virtually every statistical category...her 15 victories tied her for the 10th best single-season mark in Sacramento State Div. I history (1990-pres.)...did all of that while pitching the last half of the season with an injury to her pitching hand...against conference competition, she improved her numbers to 9-4 with a 1.89 ERA, including 55 strikeouts in 89.0 innings...her nine wins in conference play led the PCSC and the 1.89 ERA was the second best mark...received PCSC Pitcher of the Week honors four times during the season (Feb. 16, Mar. 10, Mar. 31, Apr. 28)...her 15 victories accounted for over half of the Hornets’ final total of 28 wins...in fact, Schaefer accounted for 11 of the team’s final 17 wins of the season to help the Hornets overcome an 11-17 start and finish the year 28-23...tossed a six-hit shutout over Pacific (Feb. 12), a four-hit shutout against San Jose State (Feb. 28), a four-hit shutout of San Diego (Apr. 5) and a four-hit shutout of Saint Mary’s (Apr. 11)...had at least four strikeouts in 14 of her appearances...offensively, she batted .204 (19-93) with six runs, two doubles, eight walks and a team-high tying nine sacrifices.
2008 Season
In her first intercollegiate season, she went 5-5 with a 2.99 ERA, including 23 appearances, 18 starts, four complete games and one shutout...threw 86.2 innings, the third-most on the team...served as the Hornets’ No. 2 starter the majority of the season...had a streak of 15.1 consecutive scoreless innings (March 1-11)...allowed three runs or less in all but two appearances...those only two appearances came in her first start of the season on Feb. 12, and last start of the year on May 17...had a streak of 21 consecutive outings allowing three runs or less...had victories against Providence, Princeton, Wisconsin, Santa Clara and San Diego...offensively, she had 14 at-bats during the regular season, including one hit and two RBIs against Pacific.
High School
A 2007 graduate of Southridge High School in Beaverton, Ore...competed in softball, basketball, and track and field for the Skyhawks...including four years of softball...a four-time all-conference selection and two-time all-state choice (2005-06)...led the Skyhawks to the state title in 2005 after posting a 23-3 record...in the 2005 state championship game victory over Roseburg High School, she tossed a three-hit shutout while going 3-for-4 offensively...as a junior, the right-hander posted a 0.85 ERA...offensively, she had a .378 on-base percentage and was named Southridge’s Player of the Year.

Born Sept. 26, 1988...parents are Dick and Bonnie Schaefer...a kinesiology major...played eight years of club softball for the Oregon Reign.
