The only player on the team to start all 51 games...that included 49 starts at second base and two starts in center field...a unanimous first team all-Pacific Coast Softball Conference selection...named all-conference for the third time (second team in 2008, honorable mention in 2007)...against conference competition, Loomis hit .317 with three doubles, two triples and a .348 on-base percentage...overall, she hit .268 with 28 runs, three doubles, five triples (tied for 15th in the nation), 13 RBIs, and was a perfect 9-for-9 in stolen base attempts...hit .313 (20-64) with runners on base and .368 (21-57) with two outs in an inning)...had a .959 fielding percentage (in 195 chances in the field)...tied for the team lead with nine sacrifices...among Sacramento State career leaders, Loomis is tied for second in triples (8), tied for third in home runs (11), fifth in runs (91) and seventh in RBIs (77).
Started all 53 games at second base...a second team all-PCSC selection after hitting .298 with 39 runs, 10 doubles, seven home runs, 37 RBIs, a .503 slugging percentage and a .356 on-base percentage...her 39 runs were the second-best mark on the team and tied for second best in the conference...hit .360 with runners in scoring position, and had 14 two-out RBIs...also among conference leaders, she was tied for fifth in RBIs, sixth in home runs, ninth in slugging percentage and 10th in total bases (81)...second on the team with 10 multiple-RBI games...had four hitting streaks of at least five games long, including two seven gamers...named PCSC Player of the Week on March 19...against conference competition, Loomis hit .305...named to the PCSC Commissioner's Honor Roll for the third straight season.
Appeared in 40 games, including 35 starts at second base...an honorable mention all-PCSC selection after batting .293 (29-for-99) with six doubles, two triples, four home runs, 24 RBIs, a .515 slugging percentage and a .374 on-base percentage...against PCSC competition, she averaged more than one RBI per game, finishing with 20 RBIs in 17 games...in fact, her 20 RBIs against league opposition were three more than any other player in the PCSC...hit .340 (17-50) with runners on base, .333 (10-30) with runners in scoring position, and a team-best .424 (14-33) with two outs...named PCSC Player of the Week on April 24...named to the PCSC Commissioner's Honor Roll.
Appeared in 24 games, including 14 starts (seven at second base, four in left field and three in right field)...walked nine times in 44 plate appearances, good for a .364 on-base percentage...of the 17 times she reached base safely, Loomis scored 11 times...named to the PCSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll.
A 2005 graduate of Sacramento’s Mira Loma High School...played four years of softball (pitcher and second base), where she was a four-time all-league and team MVP selection...first team all-city selection as a senior after batting .444 while posting a 22-7 record and a 0.38 ERA as a pitcher...led the 2005 team to a 24-8 record and a Sac-Joaquin section runner-up finish...named league MVP in 2004 after leading the Matadors to a league championship (11-1).
Born Oct. 5, 1987...parents are Mike and Mariann Loomis...a business major...on pace to graduate in the fall of 2009...played three years of club softball for Sacramento’s Nor-Cal Lite.
