Had a monster season in her first year in the Green and Gold...a first team all-West Region and all-PCSC selection who started all 53 games in left field...became just the third Sacramento State player to receive first team all-region honors during the program’s Div. I era (1990-pres.), joining former Hornet All-Americans Susie Bugliarello (1995-97) and Lindy Winkler (2006)...hit .375, and led the team in hits (63), doubles (14), RBIs (53), average with runners in scoring position (.435) and multiple-RBI games (13)...also hit .396 with runners on base...her 53 RBIs shattered the previous program single-season record of 42, set by teammate Jamie Schloredt in 2006...averaged exactly one RBI per game (53 RBIs in 53 games)...ranked 20th in the nation with her average of 1.00 RBIs per game, and 20th in the nation with four sacrifice flies...ranked in the top five in the PCSC in batting average, doubles, total bases (103), slugging percentage (.613), hits, on-base percentage (.435), RBIs and home runs (8)...her 53 RBIs were the top mark in the conference...hit .429 against conference competition, including a huge final weekend of the regular season against San Diego where she went 11-for-14 with six runs scored, three doubles, a triple and 10 RBIs...named PCSC Player of the Week on May 7.
Prior to Sacramento State
Played two years (2006-07) of softball at Div. I College of Charleston in South Carolina...a two-time all-Southern Conference selection, including a first team choice in 2007 after she started all 60 games at multiple positions...hit .313 (65-208) with eight doubles, one triple, eight home runs, 34 RBIs, a .387 on-base percentage and five stolen bases...also scored 41 runs...helped lead the Cougars to a 34-26 record, including a 14-7 mark in the Southern Conference.
A 2005 graduate of Vacaville High School...played four years of softball and three years of basketball for the Bulldogs...in softball, she was a two-time all-conference selection during her junior and senior seasons...during her senior year, she batted .347 with a .396 on-base percentage while helping lead the Bulldogs to a 23-7 overall record and a Monticello Empire League championship as the team’s starting second baseman.
Born Nov. 12, 1987...parents are Larry and Maria Cabrera...a psychology major with a minor in Spanish.
