2008 Season
Made three appearances in the circle, including one start...had a 1-1 record with a 7.00 ERA, but limited the opposition to a .222 batting average...made a team-best 14 appearances as a pinch runner, and scored five runs this season.
High School
A 2007 graduate of Downey High School in California...played four years of softball for the Vikings at both pitcher and in the infield...a four-time all-San Gabriel Valley League selection (three-time first team selection), Serrano batted .301 with a .462 slugging percentage and team highs in at-bats (93) and RBIs (22) during her senior year...as a pitcher, she was 13-7 with a 1.37 ERA and had 104 strikeouts in 138.1 innings...as a junior, she went 6-1 with a 1.44 ERA while batting .373 with a .439 on-base percentage, a .542 slugging percentage and 14 RBIs...also as a junior, she posted four shutouts, including a one-hitter of Lynwood High School and a 12-strikeout performance of Paso Robles High School.
