2008 Season
A first team all-PCSC selection after starting all 53 games at shortstop...that includes 112 straight starts at shortstop dating back to 2006...hit leadoff in every game...batted a career-high tying .328 with a conference-best 42 runs scored...was the 24th toughest player in the nation to strikeout, as she is fanned just once every 19.2 at-bats...her average of 0.79 runs scored per game was the 75th best mark in the nation...team leader in runs, at-bats (192) and hits (63)...her 63 hits were tied for the fourth-best mark in the PCSC...committed only seven errors in 237 total chances at shortstop (.970 fielding percentage)...that included just two errors in her last 29 games...had two hitting streaks of at least eight games long, including a career-high nine-game streak from March 19-April 6...hit safely in 24 of her final 28 games of the season...had 17 multiple-hit games...against the PCSC, Tompkins batted .385 with three doubles, three triples and 30 runs scored...among Sacramento State Div. I career leaders, she ranks third in runs (99), fourth in assists (418) and ninth in hits (166).

2007 Season
The only Hornet to start all 53 game with each start coming at shortstop...batted .328 and led the team in at-bats (186), runs (37) and hits (61)...did her most damage against PCSC competition, leading the league with 32 hits and ranking fourth with a .410 batting average...was 8-for-12 in stolen base opportunities and her 37 runs scored are tied for fifth best mark in Sacramento State’s Div. I (1990-pres.) single-season history...hit .315 (23-73) with runners on base and .327 (16-49) with runners in scoring position...second on the team with 15 multiple-hit games...had separate hitting streaks of six, seven and eight games...had four three-hit games and a four-hit game...over her last nine games of the season, she hit .514 (18-for-35)...had one stolen base in five straight games in the middle of that stretch...hit safely in 40 of 53 games and went back-to-back games without getting a hit on just two occasions during the entire season...named to the PCSC Commissioner's Honor Roll.

2006 Season
Appeared in 53 games, including 52 starts (tied for third most on the team)...had 47 starts at shortstop and five at second base...hit .238 with 19 runs, two doubles, a home run and seven sacrifices...batted .308 (16-52) with runners in scoring position...hit from the right side during the first 47 games of the season before making the switch to the left side for the final eight games after injuring her right hand...hit her first career home run against Miami University...named second team Academic All-District, and to the PCSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll.
 
2005 Season
Appeared in 35 games, including 25 starts at shortstop and five at second base...had six hits, including two sacrifices, and two stolen bases in two attempts...started each of the team’s first 23 games at shortstop.

High School
A 2004 graduate of Salinas’ Notre Dame High School...played four years of both softball and volleyball, and three years of basketball...as the starting shortstop in softball, she was named first team all-league and all-county by both the Salinas Californian and the Monterey Bay Herald  (2002-04)...hit .410, .295 and .300, respectively, during those three seasons...led the team to three league championships (2002-04) and four Central Coast Section titles...in fact, she was a member of three Central Coast Section title teams in 2002 (volleyball, basketball and softball)...as a senior in softball, she was also named second team all-state...member of the National Honors Society all four years and is a lifetime member of the California Scholarship Federation (CSF) after posting a 3.83 gpa.

Personal
Born March 28, 1986...parents are Tom and Sandy Tompkins...a business administration major with a 3.43 gpa...on pace to graduate in the fall of 2008.
