SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Saturday's scheduled Pacific Coast Softball Conference doubleheader between Sacramento State and San Diego was cancelled due to rains that swept through the Sacramento area. Today’s doubleheader was supposed to mark the first two of a four-game series between the two teams. The Hornets (29-25, 8-8 PCSC) and Toreros (7-39, 2-14 PCSC) will play a doubleheader tomorrow (Sunday, May 4), and could play a third game if both coaches agree to it. San Diego currently has just 12 healthy players on its roster.
If the teams play just two games tomorrow, today’s cancelled doubleheader will probably not be made up as this weekend wraps up the regular season for both teams.
